Help us change the course of the Poudre!

We work every day with stakeholders across the watershed to restore forests, reduce negative impacts of wildfires, and protect clean water. We know that large, high intensity wildfires can have negative impacts on forests, rivers, and drinking water for years after the fires are put out. As Larimer County's largest recorded wildfire, the Cameron Peak Fire recovery needs will be significant. Based on our experiences with High Park Fire, recovery from this event may take up to 5 years. To date, this burn has put at risk:

  • 100's of miles of beautiful stream and river;
  • dozens of miles of treasured hiking trails;
  • >37,000 ac of precious designated Wilderness Area;
  • multiple critical drinking water supply & storage facilities; and

You donation will help CPRW & partners to identify where the greatest restoration needs are, help develop strategic post-fire plans & implement the highest priority recovery needs. In short, your donation will help us ensure we have the best possible outcomes for the watershed as it recovers from the Cameron Peak Fire and helps us continue working on other key issues in the watershed.
